Tactics Characters ; sexy, special, pixel people

So, you want to learn more about the characters from this fantabulous little game? I've included subsections for different job classes, which provide in-depth information about the abilities, weapons, etc. And if you only want to read (chronologically listed) character profiles on characters (and guests) in the story, then continue on! :]

Ramza Beoulve, born into the noble family of Balbanes Beoulve. He is this story's protagonist, the idealist at heart, who believes that the righteous will ultimately overcome the evil. In the beginning, he is young and naive, but as tragedy and treachery later engulf his life, he is forced to grow up quickly and make a decision – to follow the corrupt ways of his 'noble blood' or take his own path – the path he believes to be just and true.

Delita Hyral, a commoner who, according to Ivalice history, brought peace to the kingdom, despite his rank. Before the death of his sister, Teta, he is very close friends with Ramza, seeing as they were brought up together. After the death of Teta, however, Delita has an agenda of his own; tired of being "used" by everybody, he sets out to create an individual sense of justice.

Algus Sadalfus, a knight apprentice of the local Knights under Elmdor. He is first seen being attacked by a band of thieves in Mandalia Plains and is saved by Ramza and Delita. Algus begs to join up with Ramza, with the hope of saving Marquis Elmdor. As the story progresses, it's made apparent that he's a spoiled brat, with a superiority complex over anyone who is not a noble. After a falling-out with Delita and himself, Ramza tells him to leave and never come back again.

Agrias Oaks, a knight of the Atkascha Royal family. Her moral values are very similar to that of Ramza's; she has a strong sense of loyalty and believes that justice should always prevail. She is first seen in Orbonne Monastery, there to protect Princess Ovelia. Agrias and Ramza later team up, due to her genuine concern for the Princess's safety.

Gaff Gafgarion, a mercenary (and former leader of the Touten Knights) hired by the Hokuten to escort Princess Ovelia to Igros. He is first seen with Ramza, who is also a mercenary at the time (and has changed his name to Ramza Ruglia to distance himself from the Beoulve family), due to the tragedy at Fort Zeakden. He is concerned only with money and himself and eventually betrays Ramza but later dies in the battle at Lionel Castle, thanks to our beloved hero.

Ovelia Atkascha, true daughter to the late King Denamunda. Princess Ovelia was brought up by Prince Larg and is close friends with Alma Beoulve. She often wished for a life beyond the monastery walls but believed that if she could bring peace to Ivalice, then her suffering would not be in vain. After her abduction, she finds out from Vormav and Draclau that she was a "substitute" for the real Princess. She no longer understands her role in anything anymore and takes solace in Delita's comforting words of promising to make her life shine.

Mustadio Bunanza, an engineer who is sought after because of his possession of one of the Holy Stones, along with his knowledge of mechanics, an ability crucial to the resurrection of the "lost civilization." After being chased by Bart Trading Company in Zaland Fort City, he is saved by Ramza's party and later asks to join, in an attempt to save his father, Besrodio, with the help of Cardinal Draclau.

Olan Durai, stepson of T.G. Cid, magician of the Nanten Knights, and author of the Durai Report. On the way to Lesalia, Ramza stumbles upon Olan, who is surrounded on top of the roof of a house by a number of thieves, and of course, saves him. They part ways, despite the fact that Olan knows he's been branded by the church as a heretic. He dedicates himself to revealing the corruption of the church, but after the assassination of Duke Goltana, he is placed in Zeltennia Castle's dungeon by Delita because of his knowledge of the truth. Years later, his written report (the "Durai Papers"), is the cause of his premature death (being burnt at the stake) because of the church's fear of public disclosure of the truth.

Alma Beoulve, sister of Ramza and closest to him in age out of all of the siblings. She is first seen during the dying moments of Balbanes Beoulve and is later seen again with Teta (Delita's sister) in Igros Castle's courtyard. After Zalbag calls Ramza "bad blood" because of his accusation against Dycedarg, Alma insists on following Ramza to find the "truth" out on her own. Upon arrival of the Underground Book Storage, they see that a Holy Stone has been abducted and Simon has been fatally wounded. Because of this, Alma stays to help Simon but is then abducted by Izlude. It then becomes Ramza's main mission to save his sister...

Rafa Galthana, sister to Malak and a member of an elite assassination group assembled by Barinten, known as "Kamyuja." She and her brother are orphans of the Fifty Year War and are raised by Barinten, considering him a father. Rafa later discovers that the Prince was actually behind the burning of their village and turns against him. She is wanted by Barinten for her Heaven Skill.

Malak Galthana, brother to Rafa and also a member of the "Kamyuja." He has more loyalty to Barinten, simply due to the fact that he is ignorant of the truth. After overhearing a conversation between his "father" and sister, he realizes that Rafa was right in turning against the Prince. Malak then rushes in on the conversation and jumps in front of Rafa, when he sees that Barinten is about to shoot her. Although he dies, the Holy Stone responds to Rafa's grief over her brother's death and brings Malak back to life. Like Rafa, he was wanted for his Hell Skill.

Cidolfas Orlandu, also known as T.G. (Thunder God) Cid, stepfather to Olan Durai. He is the undefeated leader of the Fifty Year War, comparable to Balbanes and Zalbag Beoulve. After serving Prince Goltana for nearly twenty years, he is charged with suspicion of conspiracy, (a part of the High Priest's plot), and is taken away. Delita then kills Goltana and stages the "death" of Orlandu (with a fake Cid), allowing Orlandu to escape with Ramza.

Meliadoul Tingel, a Temple Knight of the Murond Glabados Church, as well as the sister to Izlude and daughter of Vormav, whose initial agenda is to seek vengeance upon Ramza for the death of her brother. After being defeated by Ramza (and retreating), she walks in on a battle between the Marquis (Elmdor), (who has just transformed into the demon, Zalera), and Ramza. She comes to the halting conclusion that Ramza wasn't lying about her brother's death or the power of the Zodiac Stones and asks to join Ramza, in exchange for the Zodiac Stone in her possession. Meliadoul wants to find out the truth about her father.

Secret Characters ; the ones you have to have

And there you have it, a list of every single player who joins your team (even if for only a moment). This next section includes all of the special characters... you know, the ones that you personally have to find, listed in the order that I always acquired them.

Beowulf Kadmus, a former leader of the Lionel Holy Knights, branded a heretic by Priest Buremonda. Because the priest was jealous of the love between Beowulf and his fiancée, Reis, he turned Reis into a dragon. Beowulf continues to search for his lost love, when he meets Ramza in a bar, asking to join his team. After finding the Holy Dragon in the mines of Goland Coal City, Beowulf takes her to Nelveska Temple and restores her back to human form, using the power of the Holy Stone, Cancer.

Worker 8, a robot from ancient civilization. He appears in Goug Machine City because of Besrodio, with the help of the Holy Stone, Aquarius. He immediately refers to Ramza as his master and asks what he wants of him – Ramza asks him to dance (in which he does, haha), and then tells him to beat up Mustadio. That was quite a humorous and cute scene.

Reis Dular, fiancée to her one true love, Beowulf. Priest Buremonda casts a spell on her because he is envious of the love between Reis and Beowulf, thus turning her into a Holy Dragon, causing her to lose all recollection of human memories. But because of Beowulf's unfaltering love for her, he seeks out to find her and restores her to her former self. The two lovers are reunited at Nelveska Temple, with the help of the Cancer stone.

Cloud Strife, an elite member of SOLDIER from that faraway land known as Midgar, (never stated in the game, but we've all played FFVII, haven't we?), who is summoned at Mustadio's house with the help of the Celestial Globe and the Holy Stone. He runs away at first, muttering, "....phiros...." and is later found defending a flower girl (Aerith). Ramza's team finds Cloud, helps him, and offers to get him back to his own world.

Byblos, a creature found in the last level of the Deep Dungeon (End) in the battle against Elidibs. He looks similar to the Apanda but is not quite the same as the ones that you fight... strange but powerful. It asks to join you after the defeat of Elidibs.
